Dr Maxton Pitcher (GMC no. 3284212)

MA MD (Cantab) BMBCh (Oxon) FRCP Consultant Gastroenterologist

A Comprehensive Gut Resource

My Harrow Gastro Website has been designed primarily to support my Private Practice administration. I am delighted, however, to extend a warm welcome to my NHS patients at St Mark’s and Northwick Park Hospital! I have often thought how useful it would be to have relevant patient information leaflets pertaining to Gastroenterology and Hepatology all on one Website for ease of reference and this is what I have designed, with you in mind. So feel free to use my Website as a resource for further self-education so that you can extend your knowledge about your investigations, diagnosis and treatment. I wish to point out that, due to pressures of volume, I am unable to see you all personally, but please be reassured that I do supervise each and every member of my Gastroenterology team to the best of my ability to give you the best possible care.

All I ask, is that you refrain from using the contact details elsewhere on my website which are for my Private Patients’ use only.

Expert Personal Service

It is always recommended to discuss your symptoms and concerns with a Consultant Gastroenterologist in order to obtain an accurate diagnosis promptly so that appropriate treatment can be given as part of a personalised management plan. Sometimes, sympathetic explanation with suitable reassurance is all that is required.

Spend some time reading about the specialist services I provide and consider making an appointment to see me, whether it be for a one-off consultation and advice, further in-depth investigation, definitive diagnosis and treatment or longterm consistent supervision of a chronic condition. It will be a privilege and pleasure to help you!
