Multidisciplinary Team Discussion at St Mark’s Hospital, when required:
Cancer - all cases are discussed with a team of experts from West London Cancer Network, including chemotherapy/radiotherapy specialists (oncologists), surgeons, xray specialists (radiologists), histopathologists, and MacMillan specialist nurses to decide on the best evidence-based treatment tailored to the patient’s own circumstances. Dr Pitcher will introduce your case.
Complex inflammatory bowel disease - all cases are discussed with a team of Gastroenterologists, surgeons, xray specialists and specialist IBD nurses at St Mark’s to decide on the best evidence-based treatment tailored to the patient’s own circumstances. This may include decision-making with reference to the use of biological drugs, Infliximab (Remicade) and Adalimumab (Humira). Dr Pitcher will introduce your case.
Review of scans and xrays performed elsewhere - cases are presented in joint medical and surgical departmental meetings at St Mark’s and can be very helpful in giving a second opinion for difficult cases. Dr Pitcher will introduce your case.
